Hey all picked up a pair of nike flex experience rn 5's. Does anyone have these? How are they for a beginner runner?

Nike running shoes tend to be more focused on looking nice than being good running shoes.
But for a beginner, they would work depending on your mileage.

well I'm gunna start at one mile and if I can work my way up by half at least every week I would be happy. Not sure if possible.

Yea, with what you're doing it would work. If you want go for more and more intense running then probably look into other brands.
If you want the basic run down for how to judge a good shoe
Flexibility (not like Freeruns flexible, they are too flexible), comfortably are king.

Thanks man. I'm waiting till the weather cools down a bit as the track literally empties. I'm an early bird that will help as well. Might even start sooner as I want to get to a standard 3k (easy morning run)
How are Adidas Ultraboosts for running shoes?

THIS IS ABOUT ME RIGHT NOW.
Not really looking for running shoes, but any recommendations on some comfy shoes for someone to stand in for about eight hours a day?

$180 for a pair of running shoes, yikes. That's seem extremely ridiculous. I would rather look for other shoes.

Idk man some YouTube reviewer that totally wasn't paid by Adidas said that they were the best running shoe he's ever reviewed...
I like the concept of the foam and stuff. I'm looking for a good in between of minimal shoe but also some cushioning. I think using a shoe that's closer to barefoot running will improve my form.

Well, almost any running shoes should probably suffice. But I would look into insoles if you have problems standing.

Well if you're willing to invest that much for them I guess. But I wouldn't pay that much money for them, since I'm not some Olympian runner that uses a bunch of high-priced top gear.

I'm just wearing Vans, they don't exactly offer any support or cushioning, but will definitely look into insoles

What do you wear when you run?
>>38419123
I highly recommend it, since you'll probably use them for a life time.

My girlfriend and I got a pair each last tuesday. We've had 5 runs since, and they feel great.

I use the Asic GEL-Kayano 22, because I need the extra support since I'm flat footed.
