I think I've finally become "hot". I've worked years for it and gotten some late genetic breaks. Now 21, 6'3, 215 lbs., lean and muscular. Height, face, frame, right. I get told I'm attractive occasionally and without any real reason so it must be true enough.

It's not a magic meal ticket though. I'm still somewhat socially awkward and am not that great and womanizing, it's been a work in progress and I'm at least comfortable with them now. So I can't really get just any girl I want, if you think attractive guys can be selective you should see how difficult attractive girls can be. At least the ones you really want.

There is no end to struggle, I wish I still had the lower standards I was comfy with in high school.

Why does it matter?

If you're objectively ugly, well then there's not really anything you can do about it. Obviously you can spruce up your attire, get a nice haircut, fragrances etc, but other than that there isn't much you can do about it.

Therein lies the core of the issue, there isn't really anything you can do about it, so why worry? I mean seriously, you're going to lose sleep over something you have absolutely no power over? If that does actually happen to you you should start worrying about the day you're life inevitably ends, or the day your parents, your wife/gf and friends die.

This is absolutely not true at all. I used to think I was hideous, I used to avoid looking in mirrors and having my picture taken etc, until I went to uni and constantly got complements from girls and guys alike, I then got a girlfriend who helped even more with my confidence.

Something else I learned at uni is if you're funny, confident, have a good social circle (e.g lots of friends) and are reasonably intelligent then girls will want you, Looks help but aren't the most important thing at all. The best example is probably job interviews. I talk for 5m about myself over a 60m chat. It's all banter and compliments and thoughts on professions and society and chit chat. Shit's so easy.

The good thing is that HR is 9 times out of 10 a woman, so next time you're going for a job interview, treat it as a first date.
