'State sponsorship' varies a hell of a lot depending on where you are. In some countries they'll cover everything and let you basically take up training as a profession, in others it can be as little as waiving the access fee for sporting facilities. It also varies between sports.

Awful lot of Olympians work part time or rely on their families to support them because the stipends basically cover the monetary costs of training and not much else.

I finished the highest volume/hardest squat day on Sheiko yesterday though and it wasn't that bad, so that's pretty nice. Skills test in just under 3 weeks. It's just been so long since I've gone over 85% I hope I didn't forget how to do heavy weights.

sheiko has his athletes pause the first bench rep of every set. perhaps you could do something like that, but you would likely have to lower your training weight a little bit. hell, i "pause" every squat and bench just a bit. i find it allows me to stay tight and avoid injury

Seriuosly guys. Don't know what to do with Texas Method.

Currently doing 4x5 on squat. My squat is clearly lagging, but doesn't want to adapt to a 5x5. I've been thinking about doing leg presses and front squats too, so my legs feel so fucking tired that they either adapt or die.
Also, I do deadlifts on wed bc of muh volume day. Doing it right? Or should I put it on friday? Friday workouts are hard af. Doable, but hard.

The last thing is:
Volume bench is so fucking easy man. Doing 6x5 and most of the time the last set I do 6 bc I don't feel tired. Volume bench weight is 83kg now, ID weight last friday was 93kg. RPE 9. then I thew 2x5 on bench too with 75kg. Been adding 2kg each week. Seems eeeeeasy. Should I add 3kg or keep going with 2kg till I stall?

I'm 18 years old, weight 77kg. Sleep and eat like a beast.

Deadlifting mid week throws off the TM structure. Heavy deads belong on ID. I would try to do the squat 5x5, fronts or paused squats on Wed, and pull heavy Fri. Do some sort of pulling volume on VD, or on Tue if you can't get through it all in one day.

Use the upper/lower TM template. Instead of doing 6 sets of bench, just add in more upper body/tricep work. You probably need to lower the weight on your VD for squats if you're starting to fail reps on the 5x5.
