>targetting the lower back
>squat
Why the fuck would I use my lower back for squats when my hamstrings, ass, quads and abs are bigger and stronger? You are not doing the exercise correctly.
OP - front squats and core strengthening. George Lehman shows some good ab exercises when he was with Mark Bell.

Because your quads aren't responsible for keeping your spine straight idiot, that's your erectors job. That's like asking
>hurr why the fuck would i use my finger flexors for chinups when my lats, biceps and shoulders are bigger stronger? o_O
>what do you mean how else am supposed to grab the bar? xDDDD
>Lumbar Lordosis
haha wtf do people actually walk around like that?

This is a serious question - have you ever squatted or deadlifted in your life without rounding your back? Using your lower back (as in the area above your ass) to move heavy weight is recklessly stupid.
You stabilise yourself with your abs when doing those lifts.

>he doesn't know how to squat but feels qualified to post about it online

Yeah bud keep squatting and DL with a cat back that will do ya good. If you want an exercise for the lower back go with a seated goodmorning.
>>38394363
cat back would hit upper or mid back
balancing with your lower back is squatting 101 and a sign of proper form. that's why it's mentioned in every tutorial like the guy linked above

Do yoga
I usually walk with good posture, but when I'm carrying my field pack I slouch a little. Is this fine? If I stand straight with the field pack for a long time my lower back aches
