ITT: what sports did you play in high school?
football, basketball, golf
>>38349082
Rugby, but I was terrible at it. Also did mid-distance running, but I wasn't very good at that either
>>38349093
oh i also played summer league baseball in the summer and fall ball (we'd never practice, just show up for games since we all played fall sports and dominate the entire league)
Football and wrestling but I stopped after sophomore year because they fired the guy that coached both of those that everyone loved and hired some jackass douchebag. Should have stuck with it for the fitness gains if anything, instead I started playing CS all day and drinking a 6 pack of soda every day. fml
>>38349082
I was part of the going home club.
Football and Volleyball.
Scrimmages with the girls team was straight cash.
We practiced on a college net normally but when we played against them we had their net.
>>38349168
Boys volleyball?!
Track and field.
(100m, 110m hurdle, triple jump).
I was okay for a whiteboi.
>>38349213
Yeah.
Our coach did both teams but girls is in fall while we are spring.
Every once in a while he'd let either team practice with the other so they wouldn't get sloppy.
>>38349239
Lol I just threw.
Surfing, surf life saving sports and waterpolo.
Typical Australian shit.
>>38349082
sit at home and jack off to naked drawn japanese girls
>>38349254
I was too short to throw. Didn't have any business triple jumping at my height either.
>>38349082
Tennis
>>38349281
I was 5'10" and 190. I was the smallest varsity shot put thrower at my school, but I was the only freshman that year that threw 30'
Football, wrestling, and track
>>38349272
What position in water polo. I was goalie for the most part.
>>38349301
tennis master race reporting in
Track and cross country. World class. Never did shit with it though.
>>38349082
Nine because me high school had shit programs and shit players. Not a single football game won my senior year. Only good teams were the spic soccer players and the girls softball team
>>38349254
Same m8. I was pretty small in high school so mo good at shot but I got good at discus with lots of practice. I would love to compete again now that I have another 40 lbs of muscle
I played the skin flute.
No but for real, I wasn't allowed to do sports at my school because they didn't want the liability with my CF, so instead I became an artsy faggot. Did a lot of guitar playing, graphic design, and various theatre shit like acting and sound tech.
>tfw just wanted to be ottermode swimmer during high school
Baseball.
and band
>>38349383
Lemme guess, Sax?
>>38349383
>band
Please tell me you're not one of the faggots who bought a $400 letterman jacket to put a band letter on it
football and rugby
tennis during freshman and soph years
>>38349399
Trumpet.
>>38349408
I always thought letterman jackets were gay.
>>38349160
Same. lmfao if you wasted hours of your life at school-sponsored activities.
>>38349367
I couldn't stand discuss. Spent a week doing discuss and couldn't even get the throw down, let alone the blocking. I gave up and went over to shot and jav.
>>38349331
I was mainly centre forward/back for U14s and U16s and swapped between left flat and centres for opens. Had a bit of a stint in goalie for a bit too in the 14s.
Starting up again this season for the first time in 6+ years, you should think about the same thing too anon.
>>38349272
Better add tennis to that too.
>>38349082
competitive crying
>>38349429
Damn, my school didn't even have javelin. I think my bests were about 35 for shot and 120 for disc. Good times, one of the few nostalgic memories I have of high school
>>38349436
Meh. After high school I really missed wrestling and bounced around between boxing, SAMBO, Krav Maga, and showed up to a freestyle wrestling tournament as an independent once.
>>38349479
As a freshman I was clearing 30' for shot and 100' for javelin, feel like I would have done better if I did track in middle school.
Rugby and Lacross
The two most objectively fun sports in high school
>>38349530
I don't so much wish that as much as I wish I had started strength training in high school. I was 5'10" 145 lbs through most of high school, I could have been so much better with a little mass
Football and Baseball freshman year to my junior. quit senior year to get a job
I did rugby, tennis and swimming but gradually quit all of them over the course of secondary school because I got salty from not winning and grew bored of them. Started playing American football at uni though (Britbong here so standard is low) and that boosted my fitness and motivated me to start going to gym
Running swimming 3gun
Though it was more like an internship as its helping me a lot rn
Booyah
>>38349244
You can't even hit a ten foot
>>38349082
Marching band
I played the fittest instrument
>>38350066
Bruh I can do that with either hand.
On a boys high school net, at least.
I'm white, get off my back.
>>38350081
the skin flute
I was the fastest runner in my school at the 100m and 200m. They told me to try doing hardcore competitive after highschool but i refused...
And found an excuse for it , "hurr durr i have anxiety (wich i actually had)
Fuck i still regret this choice....
I started lifting in college tho, but that doesnt makeup for this..
did fencing competitively for 7 years before going off to uni
was pretty rad, got to get my ass beat by 4 olympians multiple times over that period. most people are lucky just to get to watch them
>>38349082
wrestling master race
>>38350232
Hell yeah bro! What weight class?
>>38350253
Whichever one my uncle Diego was in
>>38350263
Lol. I bounced around 182, 195, and 220
>>38350271
Do you like Spartacus Timmy?
>>38350287
Lol what?
Cheerleader (male)
Track
>>38349168
Fuck bro I wish mine had volleyball I fucking love playing it now
>>38350253
65 kg in hs moved up to 74 in college. You?
>>38350360
It's only fun when your team isn't filled with a bunch of scrubs.
You're probably playing with decent people now but when your team has zero talent it's not that fun.
I was on varsity as a sophomore not because I was good, but because everyone else was terrible.
>>38349082
football and wrestled
if i could go back I wouldve done track in the spring because I did it in middle school and really enjoyed sprinting and discus. I also wouldve done wrestling all 4 years
>>38350361
American here. We never used kg. I wrestled 182, 195, and 220 (about 82.5 kg, 88.5 kg, and 99.8 kg respectively)
>>38349082
Jerk & Clean
>>38349082
Tennis, junior year, played for fun never any matches
Swimming, junior year, swam but never competed
Cross Country, senior year, really sucked in the beginning but i got better overtime and towards the end i turned decent, competed and i would always finish in the last few places (XC seasons starts when school starts) which was why I would always finish in either last place or near last, really regret not doing XC sooner.
I went from running 14min miles to 6:33min miles and my 5k went from 44min to 21:33min towards the end of the year, I went from barely being able to run a quarter mile to running 8miles non stop, greatest sport experience in my opinion and i wish i would've started it sooner like in freshman year.
>>38349082
Football at lunchtime and kickboxing. I sucked at everything but defending. Turns out kickboxing and steel toecap shoes is a combination not many people want to go up against.
>>38350429
wish I grew up in the states. I came down from the great white north and competed there several times. I did alright but damn the competition is way thicker.
>>38349082
hockey and lacrosse
>>38350555
>Turns out kickboxing and steel toecap shoes is a combination not many people want to go up against.
>steel toecap shoes
>not many people want to go up against
Duh, that would be like picking a fight with a boxer that is wearing steel tipper knuckle gloves or fighting a muay thai boi with plastic shin guards.
>>38350592
Best competition is from the ex Soviet/eastern bloc nations.
>>38349082
football, wrestling and lacrosse
>>38350624
Yeah it was great. The toecaps didnt even make much difference. If anything they made me worse, they slowed me down and made my toes hurt a bit when I kicked things. Put the fear of god into people though.
Sprinting (100m, 200m) and triple jump on the track team
Badminton and soccer during breaks.
I was alright at badminton, and triple jumping, pretty shitty (compared to my competition) elsewhere.
>>38350446
Ha, I get it
Same, except discus instead of javelin, and swimming instead of wrestling.
>>38349082
world of warcraft
Xc, rowing, tennis
Ultimate Frisbee.
>>38349104
But you're good at lifting! R-right...?
wrestling and tennis
wrestling was amazing and also hardest workouts of my life
tennis was gay as fuck, didnt like my team either
>>38350542
XC Boizzzz we out here
>>38350081
sousaphone?
Hide and seek
I was the hide champ...... they never ever found me
>>38349082
Rugby fullback, I was complete shit and didn't have any real friends in the group so I got laughed at for being the shittest in the team.
Basketball because im 6'7"
>>38352245
Fullback scum
>>38349082
Chess
hockey and golf
>>38349082
Distance running lmao
Literally no carry over to lifting
Track and field( Long jump)
Soccer
Rugby
>>38349082
Field hockey and track (hurdles, long jump and 4x400)
>>38349082
Basement dwelling
Wrestling and cheerleading.
Wrestling was great, and I learned discipline, and how to be mentally as well as physically tough. I learned that after wrestling, everything else was easy in comparison.
Cheer was even better, because I got way stronger, got mad props for being able to lift people and tumble, and got so much puss. I also got a decent sized college scholarship for cheer. Back and joints are fucked for life though, but it's so worth it. At least for now.
>>38349082
Wrestling master race reporting in.
>>38349082
guitar strumming, weed toking, beer drinking and cheerleader fucking
lettered every year in all four
Football and I was fucking awful at it
>OH ANON JOIN FOOTBALL UR SO SWOLE
>Hey anon wanna lift with us football players after school
>anon springball is coming up you should join then
>damn anon if you played football you'd truck so much shit
I ended up as a 3rd string bench warmer because I never built up the skills to play football well
Football wrestling and track.
>>38349422
> not hooking up with female athletes at practice
It's like you were a beta from the get go
>>38353216
I'm a wrestler too, and in all honesty the thing that helped me the most was doing water polo. Treading 12 foot deep water for 2 hours a day really builds up your stamina, and you get legs of steel.
Rugby and 'Murrica Football. Fun shit, but my shoulder is still decently wrecked.
>>38349082
Waterpolo, but not on a school team
>tfw no pool
>no football team
>only gayshit sports like soccer and volleyball
>>38349082
i was a member of the weightlifting club for the whole two months it existed before the school shut it down.
>>38349082
softball, chess
>>38349082
Football
Did bodybuilding on my own.
>>38349082
Wrestling
Still wrestle actually, but now for enjoyment and relaxation and out of habit. I barely compete, maybe 2 or 3 tournaments a year.
Football, baseball, basketball like any respectable Chad.
I was also on the bowling team.
Water Polo and Swim Team
played no highschool sports. no real friends. went home everyday and played videogames and then went to bed. never went to a single party. didnt go to prom.
>>38349082
Rowing, shame I quit at uni
Lacrosse brahs
>>38349082
Wrestling
Rugby League. The pre-season's were awful: went for a long distance run around town, then got to some deep steps, around about 200 in total, with breaks every30-40 steps and were made to sprint up and down them for an hour before running back up hill and going through passing drills.
>>38349082
Judo, Rugby, Boxing and Wrestling. Loved it and still doing it.
Rowing and squash. Both in school and out of it
Soccer
Cricket
Softball
Track
Outside of school, soccer, swimming, boxing.
I played doom?
>>38349415

Is Magic The Gathering playing cards a sport?

Goalie in lacrosse
Swimming all 4 years
Ultimate Frisbee with friends sometimes.
>>38359655
Should have gone pro anon
Swimming, diving, Waterpolo.
I'm uncoordinated as fuck though on land
>>38349082
DOTA and pocket billiards.
>>38354762
I shouldn't be surprised bc this is 4chan but I honestly don't get how this can happen I was a beta loser with low social skills and I still went to 2 proms how do you sit and play video games that much I play games but damn every day. Not even one party wtf didn't you at least talk to people during the school day?
Hockey, Kung fu and Aikido. They were pretty boring
>go to uni and join rugby
>be shit at it
>suddenly get incredibly angry at a match and scare everyone
>they put me as a hooker
>cackle like an autistic faggot in a murder spree whenever I tackled people
>best fun of my life
>rhino rams me and fucks my hip
>still asks me to join his team afterwards
I had so much fucking fun, I miss it
>>38349082

>>38365755

ultimate frisbee and football (QB and WR)
>>38349082
Football. We won one game the two years I played so I quit. Was 6ft3 170lbs so they stuck me at receiver but we also had to play defense so they put me on the god damn D line. Once a week I'd get fucking flattened by country boys, and the niggers didn't like that we had a white receiver for some reason.
>>38365892
>and the niggers didn't like that we had a white receiver for some reason.
You mean the niggers on your own team or the others?
>>38358784
>implying quads aren't heavier than sousa
Lacrosse and band.
My girlfriend and I were in leadership positions and made the rest of the band exercise everyday. If you were last in running you got to run more, if you dropped your arms while doing arm circles we made everyone do more, if you cheated push ups you got more. I even convinced my instructor to implement running, push ups, and jumping jacks if you wouldn't shut up. I tried to get access to the schools weight room but they said it wasn't allowed. I actually got a number of people to join gyms and lose weight. One of my friends lost over 100 lbs and is on his way to being a 6'3 Chad.
>>38349082
(UK here)
Basketball, some football (defender), athletics (shot/discuss/javelin/hurdles).
Mostly Basketball. It was annoying because there were a lot of black kids just there to LARP as African Americans. I was the classic fundamentals white guy.
It not being a serious thing in the UK, the coach was acting like more of a "mentor" (child minder) than anything.
> haha and this with my unathletic friends >>38365870 (coached by the math teacher)
Anyone else have examples of people just in it for cultural/social status reasons?
>>38349082
Lacrosse and Hockey
>>38366401
how tall are you m8?
Football, first team all conference. My initials are DC, so i called myself ACDC, All Conference Danon Canon
Ice hockey before high school, but I was fat garbage. I ended up breaking my ankle on a growth plate and decided to stop. Just thankful the skate was tight and it healed right
In high school, the most athletic thing I did was Marching Band till I picked up lifting. Got to 4pl8 deads and 3pl8 squats in a few months. Unfortunately, fat t-rex will do that to you. Cut for a year, lost my legs a bit, but worth it for the qt's
>inb4 band isnt a sport
Faggots, I know it isnt. Ive been trying to explain that to tard band friends who think it is for years. Its really hard to convince the tryhards at college level.
Football
Wrestling
Rugby
>>38366617
...6'1... i don't get it.
>>38349082
I was too poor to play sports and get enough nutrients to exercise. Played alot of Call of Duty and Runescape. I was an artsy fag. When I graduated I was 6'1 115 pounds
Didn't start liking girls until I was almost 20 and eating / lifting for two years. Stupid single mom raised me to be a weakling. Now I play Tennis cause those years of call of duty gave me great reflexes.
>bowled throughout high school(I was the team captain)
>baseball
>tennis
>track
Thought about walking on to my colleges track team but decided against it
>>38367375
Was just wondering because you played basketball. I'm 5'10 and always sucked at it.
>>38367277
wouldnotmesswith/10
What were you positions in rugby and football?
>soccer 9th grade - 11th grade (goalkeeper)
>in tenth grade did cross country (inb4 amazing fat loss and cardio gains)
>12th grade some rugby, but not much
>inb4 began lifting in 9th grade
american football and rugby are probably the most fun sports you could ever play
golf, lacrosse.
tennis and wrasslin
>>38349082
Shooting.
>>38349082
Swimming and I was the mascot(HS and college). Sweated like a mother fucker.

>>38365850
me too but let's be honest it's not a sport
>>38371000

>>38349082
First rowing and then long distance running. Was good at rowing competed nationally and placed well but was always kinda chubby and thus developed anorexia and took up running instead and became a literal skeleton.
>>38362299
I dont know how it is where you live but in my high school we always had that one dude and one girl each who were both ugly, dumb and generally boring to talk to and did not excel at anything.
They were generally just ignored and never really had any friends.
I feel kinda bad for them looking back.
>>38349082
Volleyball. Sadly never made it past 183 cm
>>38371363
Could have been a libero
Football, 2 months, age 8
Hockey, 6 months, age 9
Mountain biking, 5 years, age 7-12

Gym (finally on right track and making gains) and hockey, 3 years atm 19-23
Yet despite all this activity I'm still fat throughout my childhood. But at least I can say did something.
>>38366273
You sound genuinely like a nice guy. Keep going anon :)
>be me
>10 years old
>already 5'7"
>think I'm gonna be huge as an adult
>play basketball
>Amazing at defense because I could just smack the ball down when other kids took shots
>never develop any good ball handling skills though
>fast forward 5 years
>freshman in high school.
>5'10".exe
>all the good defense has at least a head on me. Have no ball handling skills so can't make team
>go wrestle
>make state as a senior
>everything went better than expected
Football (soccer)
Got to use the gym all the time and because i was centre forward everyone liked me because i scored goals.
After HS I stopped playing, stopped working out.
Now Im back doing both after 10 years absence.
Biggest mistake was stopping.
Long distance running
>Basketball
>Baseball for a year. Fucking awful "sport". Shooting the shit in the dug-out was fun though.
>Soccer
>was skinny as fuck until 11th grade where I had a huge growth spurt and went from 130lbs to 180lbs
>football coach asked if I wanted to play football
>said no because I didn't want to do all of that work just to ride the pine
>tfw looking back I would've started
>tfw team won the state championship that year and I could've gotten a free ring

Man I wish I had met more people like you.

>nah that's boring and it's too (hot, cold, humid, windy, etc) lets go play video games instead
I'm at the point of cutting off contact with everyone I know because of this. Am I unreasonable?

In HS Was captain two year in a row, mvp two year in a row, all county two years, and all state my senior year.
Played in college too, lol jk I rode the bench. Didn't get more than 5 minutes on the field in two years playing before I quit.
