Keep it up! Rebooting your relationship with food is easily the hardest part about this lifestyle change - otherwise you're always in danger of backsliding.

I started at 430 and floundered my way down to 345. That's when everything just sort of clicked, and in 5 months I found myself down to 220. After a week of eating at maintenance I landed 235 with all the water weight and glycogen.

Currently lifting on about 3,000-3,500 calories a day. I'd like to be gaining weight, but I've lost 5 pounds over the last month and a half due to all the physical activity I can actually do now.

No, there are easier ways to suicide

The limit you shouldn't go below imo is going down to whatever I wrote above, except with a 500kcal meal every 48 hours. I've done it for two weeks, so you won't die, but you will burn a lot of muscle and have close to no energy for any side activities. In the two weeks I did it without breaking the diet even once, I dropped from 75kg to 60kg (I'm 5'9). Was mostly fat, but some muscle too. OHP dropped from 50kg to barely 25kg for an example (yes, 25kg)
Take multivits and you'll be fine, and make sure you don't touch a single carb - you shouldn't even go above 5 grams.

If you want to repeat this diet, I strongly recommend at least a month of cooldown with a normal 2000kcal balanced diet, else you'll get organ failure and all the other possible bullshit.

It's a bit hard at first but fucking worth it. At no point in my life had I seen my abs up until after that diet. I strongly recommend every single obese person reading this to get on it starting tomorrow. The grass is way fucking greener on the other side, and two weeks of this is well worth the years-long effect of it.

i was slightly chubby before i started lifting. Left is me lifting for about 1 1/2 year on a diet of fast food and twinkies. Nah, I got one of those at home hair removal things (silkin flash and go). So I don't have to shave.
I do have to use it about 3 or 4 times a year for maintenance (stray hairs pop up) but it's a lot better than shaving.

This is me as of yesterday. Forgot to take a start photo so I'll just use this as reference since I'm still a fat fuck. Just started browsing fit for motivation. Ive been cutting for about a month now and I've lost about 15 pounds. Was 260 now 245 approx. Been having good progress. For now I'm not lifting too much, just 3 times a week full body workout. Mostly cardio. Any tips for a fit beginner?

Obviously your body is going chew on your fat and muscle to sustain itself when you give it insufficient food but eating so far below your TDEE isn't very healthy, especially for long period. It might be worth thinking about limiting the dramatic deficit to 2 week stints and doing 2 weeks of minor deficit in between. If you're eating so little you aren't going to have the energy to lift (or do cardio) and your recovery time if you do is going to be horrendous. Working out while you're losing weight is important to fight muscle loss and also so you don't wind up looking like a skeleton wearing a garbage bag once you're at your target weight.

I'm doing cardio now. Trying to do an hour 3 times/week. I do wanna get into some sort of weight lifting or whatever but have no clue where to start. I have lack of muscle from just being a lazy fat fuck.

Right now I feel like I have the energy I did when I was in high school. My only major complaint now is my poops are dry and my butt hole hurts from them but I only Poop once a week now

I've lost 53 lbs so far, From 255 down to 203. Got a birthday coming up in 2 months, aiming for around ~190 by then, but been stuck on a plateau for the last couple weeks. Recently started an EC stack just for the appetite suppressant effect because i've just been stupid hungry lately.

I also feel like if I let myself i'm sleeping to much. I sleep 8 to 8 1/2 hours every night but on the days i'm off work if I don't set my alarm i'll sleep 11 or 12 easily. Not sure why because my quality of sleep since losing weight has been way better, no more waking up in the middle of the night, pass out almost immediately. I guess its just a side effect of working out 6 days a week and 4 days a week of cardio.

I also feel like i'm hitting all my maxes for lifts while still on a cut, it just feels like a long road, still another 35-40 lbs to lose (Yes, Manlet).

In month 1 I was eating 2500 pretty much every day of the week, but I started getting more hungry and felt gassed at the end of workouts.

I bumped it up to 3000 a day in month 2 and it got better. Present day, I eat around 3000 on resting days on days where I lift I climb close to 3800. I'm going by what I see in the mirror and how I feel after workouts, if I start getting fatter I'll scale it down a bit and keep on truckin

my deadlift started failing because of my grip at around 220 lbs, so I do rack-pulls but just hold them at the top for as long as I can and increase the weight every day I do it. blasted through the deadlift stalls like that, I recommend it for anyone with a weak grip

used to be obese as fuuuuck as a teen, like 300 lbs and dropped down to 220 by senior year. Plateuead but broke it recently with 100% clean diet and been lifting seriously for 2 months, 6x a week sometimes twice a day.

Just sux cause I'm team pubertal gyno but ay beats being a fat fuck.

that being said does it look like I could benefit from letrozole or nolvadex + raloxifene or does it look more like surgery's the only option? :( i've had gyno for more than 2 years probs

I still have a fairly high amount of body fat left, hence wanting to get to 160lbs to get to low bmi and get as much off before I start muscle stuff, so it's kinda too early to say for certain, but it seems fairly taut, because I don't have much loose skin from the amount I have lost so far, which is a good sign I guess. (I am aware that is not that helpful but the loose skin if there is any will probably be minimal)

I don't have any pictures because I'm a dumbfuck and never took any, but I started out in early 2013 at 280 lbs approx. 6'4" (and took a "break" which was pretty much me being a lazy fuck for about a year).
Weighed in last week at 208 lbs.
Just a couple more pounds and I'll be back in the average range BMI for the first time since 3rd grade. Feels good, thanks /fit/.

Started cold turkey keto diet on 5/27 and weighed in at 220lbs, my most ever. I'm 6' tall. This morning I weighed in at 197lbs. I'm going to lose 10-15 more pounds on keto and then switch to lifting and a more balanced diet.

My experience with keto has been pretty positive with only a few drawbacks.
Pro:
>I love meat and get to eat lots of it, especially fatty stuff like bacon, eggs, burrito bowls, sausage and peppers, etc.

Cons:

I have the same problem...

The way I look at it is, if I'm dieting right 6 days out of the week and have one day where I eat a bit of junk food and drink a bit, well then that's fine. I'm still losing weight, even tho it slows down when I'm doing stuff on weekends.

Just make sure you don't overdo it.

I usually try to stick to just straight vodka, gets you drunk for the least amount of calories.

I started at 300 lbs in January of 2015. Got down to 208 this March.

A bunch of little stuff happened (hurt my back, had to move, hurt my leg, etc, just tiny bullshit) but I kinda just stopped trying. I've shot back up to 230 and I can't get back on the fucking horse. I know your feel though. I'm just around 200, down from 350. I've been struggling hard to get back on the wagon ever since I got out of boot camp....been eating like shit.

But I've been getting better in increments. At the start of july I was eating ice cream and junk food every day, and not lifting at all.

A couple weeks ago, I was still eating junk for most of the week, but I had at least started to lift again.

This past week, I lifted every day, even the day I didn't feel like going, and my only bad eating day has been today, because I'm an idiot and decided to drink.

But that's ok. Because now I have a clear goal for next week: no bad days, even on the weekend.

It gets easier the longer you do it. Small steps.

We're all gonna make it, eventually.
