>30g carbs is enough for a sedentary, obese piece of shit who works in the office and watches TV all day (as this was what keto was made for)
>it is also enough for a 120lbs anorexic girl, apparently
>40g of carbs IS NOT ENOUGH for someone who lifts, does cardio and possibly works a physically active job
Mckill yourself piece of shit summerfag pajeet.

If you're lifting and doing cardio every day you'll burn through the 40g of carbs pretty quick. If you're sedentary obviously you wanna keep the carbs below 10g.

40g of carbs (almost all complex, still virtually no sugar) was about where I was towards the end of my keto phase and I was still "pissing hot" on the test strips.

Yeah, don't do keto.
Calorie restriction sheds weight. There is literally zero scientific evidence from reputable sources that says cutting all carbs somehow aids in weight/fat loss

Actually, there is. Check this out:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16469983
"CONCLUSION: Low-carbohydrate, high-protein diets favorably affect body mass and composition independent of energy intake, which in part supports the proposed metabolic advantage of these diets."

I know nothing of the scientific literature but if my anecdote serves of anything I'm nearing in 30kg loss in 4 months by just completely cutting carbs and continue eating like a fatlard.
If it's healthy? No idea, I'm taking a gamble.
Am I losing weight? Absolutely, and I'm not even hungry nor exercising.
Take this as you will.
The only problem with keto diet right now is there are no long term studies from what I heard, but all the short term ones report positive result.

There is, my man.

But that doesn't mean you should do it.

Your anecdote doesn't serve as much because we can't know if you're lying or simply misinterpreting the results. Nothing personal, just the general concensus on why anecdotes don't work.
