I usually go with amaranth instead. Pop it on the stove, add raisins and pepitas and almond milk, eat it like cereal. Cheaper, tastier, and has a similar nutritional profile.

Ill probably consider it when I start bulking. Seems to be slightly higher in cal and carbs. Has higher minerals than vitamins and vice versa with quinoa. Sucks in the amino acid category. Overall not bad.

>Sucks in the amino acid category
It's slightly better than quinoa

I'm looking at the side by side comparison. Amaranth lacks as a complete amino acid.
>>38117076
You mean a complete protein? How? Quinoa has an AA score of 106, Amaranth is 108
>>38117041
Doesn't have leucine and threonine. Therefore it is an incomplete amino acid.

You might be looking at an incomplete chart that doesn't have full data on its amino acid content

Yeah, that's full of "missing values" meaning they don't have the data. Check the nutritiondata link, they have data for raw amaranth but not cooked for some reason

Maybe cause the hot water nukes all of it? KEK, but will do.
