Keto does two things for you:

1. Helps you manage cravings. You'll feel less hungry.
2. Breaks your sugar addiction.

It does not violate CICO, however many people (myself included) report being able to stick to it and lose weight without actually having to track calories. You just eat normally and it works out to a caloric deficit anyway.

Just started a few weeks ago and have already dropped 16 lbs
The reason I chose keto is because carbs are the easiest thing to cut.
I had no idea how many calories I was consuming because of bread, pasta and rice. They compound so quickly because you almost never eat just one serving of spaghetti, Alfredo, or rice. You almost never have just one serving of bread to soak up the sauce or just one pan cake for breakfast.
I didn't drink much soda, like 2 cans a week max, and I didn't eat fast food almost at all.
My fast food of choice wasn't mcburgers it was fried chicken and if I had my choice for going out it was a Chinese buffet.
I was inhaling carbs and didn't even comprehend how many I was having.
Keto works for me because it forces me to not carb load every meal, this causes a caloric deficit which results in weight loss.
Also the keto science is really damn cool and actually checks out in peer review.

It's a rare condition and basically no doctor has heard of it, but what you wrote is true - I've personally went through month-long keto at least 6 times and it ALWAYS appears on the 3rd day of zero carbs, itches like hell and at the exact same spots as that pic (tho not as severe)

It's harmless and you shouldn't scratch it. Moreover, if you do a longer period of keto (two weeks and up), it actually disappears. It seems to be caused (in my opinion) by toxins accumulated in your fats, which under keto are rapidly burned, therefor rapidly released into your body - it's something like food poisoning from junk food being deposited in your fat.
But yes, they also disappear on the next day of exiting keto as you said.

thanks man, /fit/ has played a great part in my journey, I used to post as manta all the time and I thought it was funny to see people angry at my figure so I tried to keep it and there were also those mirin that made me feel somewhat responsible and that was enough motivation to keep eating healthy and not lose my way.

Bs, i was 6'2" 320lbs started strict keto foods only but kept my calorie intake at 3000+ daily and lost 50 lbs in 30 days.

I am also testing the calorie deficit, i have been on a 500-800 calorie deficit diet for 30 days and gone from 305lbs to 275lbs. its called dedication and rounding down for your calories allowed and round up on your calorie intake. Then you are promised results.

yeah, but I was on vacation a couple of weeks ago hence my absence, on that vacation I gained 32 pounds, I was 104lbs when I left and came back 136lbs, I'm already losing weight again, I'm at 125lbs but I don't feel fully worthy of the trip just yet, but once I get back in shape I'll start sharing again if people still want me to.

The " calories in" and "out" terms depend on your digestive tract, diet, intestinal fauna, and a load of other shit. You can't read it off a wrapper.

I'm not here to argue whether or not it's a meme, but keto has been great for me. Never posted pics of my fatness before so please no bully.

Went from a 300 pound fatass to a 245 pound fat ass in 90 days. It's been good for me, but keto definitely isn't for everyone

That's the point, it's a shitty diet for people who have no will to do things right.

Good progress though, and if it's working for you keep going I guess. The thing is, if you were just doing a proper diet, and succeeding at it, you'd be doing even better when it comes to your quality of life.

Dude you need to get your binge eating control. Get some psychological help too maybe. From what you're posting here it sounds like you are gaining and losing weight at way too rapid a pace. It's gotta be hell on your body.

Not even diet man, I didn't stop eating anything, I just portioned my food better and counted calories.
I did have a loose skin problem but it went back to its place after about 4 or 5 months.
