The plyometric programs are designed for those who wish to perform a program
without any concurrent weight training or for those who want to supplement their
weight training. These programs, unlike most plyometric programs, address multiple
aspects of explosiveness. Not only do they increase your traditional plyometric ability,
but they also consist of exercises to improve your rate of force development, short
response reactivity, full rom strength, full rom reactivity, and starting strength. The
combination of exercises and training means in these programs has proven very
effective.
For those who wish to perform their own weight training programs along with the
plyometric programs this can be done very successfully but I recommend the volume
of plyometrics be reduced to no more then 2 days per week. The flow of the
plyometric routines will carry you from one level to the next and from less advanced
exercises into more advanced exercises.

Plyos are great for beginner lifters, and for lifters that lack general athleticism.

For competitive powerlifting, however, the added fatigue takes away from what drives your total: more lifting.

If you want to be an athlete, do some plyos. If you want to be a powerlifter, then probably don't (unless it's part of off-season GPP).

it took me so long to figure out how to use straps

I bought 3 different ones and was not satisfied with any of them and was about to give up on this shit. the eleiko straps were the only ones that helped significantly even though they were the cheapest but there were many drawbacks to them

then I finally tried out only putting the strap 1 time around the bar and letting the rest hang, having my 3 strongest fingers directly at the bar and not on the strap. and surprisingly they are much more comfortable and my grip is much more powerful

also makes it a lot easier and quicker to use them

Power snatching seems legal as long as your feet don't move, but would be stupid as you can't power snatch anywhere near close to your deadlift max.

If the lifter himself is de prived of an otherwise successful attempt by the error of a spotter / loader and through no fault of his own, he shall be awarded another attempt at the discretion of the Referees and Jury at the end of the round.

He gets the light he was given, but the chief referee or the jury can change it if it's an obvious error.

I haven't taken a break from lifting obviously so not sure if that's a reference to me, and I was drug tested before my first competition with PA and other occasions at my own home. Phil is in the 74s and has been with PA for a year now, and on his hiatus all his lifts went down dramatically. So much for juice
