What is the best /fit/ related advice you ever got? The worst?
I guess I'll start.
The best: Train full body three days a week with heavy compound movements.
The worst: Eat six small meals a day as opposed to two or three bigger meals.

Best: a strong back is the base for everything
Worst: don't overtrain

What's wrong with smaller meals?

It's a bro science meme based on a misunderstanding of the thermic effect of food.

It makes sense for the bodybuilding industry to popularize the meme as it benefits them to misinform the public. It's part and parcel of the greater meme of overstating the importance of protein. All roads lead to shilling shitty, overpriced whey supplements.

Pretty much. At the end of the day it's all just calories in calories out. Though it may make it easier to split up the calories into more meals so it's not really a meme in that sense.

Best: you gotta eat big to get big
Worst: training abs is a meme
>>38086165
Best: always do compounds
Worst: compounds are all you need for a strong core
It's not even bad per se, but my abs have gotten noticeably stronger and harder since I started incorporating one core exercise at the end of every routine.

Just because you don't have to do it doesn't mean it's bad advice desu. I eat smaller meals purely because I enjoy eating more often.
Anyway, the best advice I ever got was pic related.
The worst advice was maybe doing a brosplit
>>38087044
whats wrong with split?
>>38086165
>you only use 30 grams of protein every 2 hours, the rest gets dumped
Best: Hit each muscle 2-3 times a week with heavy compounds and some accessories, eat more, squat deep, deadlift,
Worst: brosplit, high reps only,

READ THE FUCKING STICKY

Best: leave /fit/
>>38086165
best: beans and rice
worst: running kills gains
>>38086165
best: "pose in the mirror. fuck these people" at the gym
worst: leg press
>>38086849
how much success have you had with your "best" method? it is so different than mine.
>>38086884
overtraining is a thing though
