The internet says washing dishes burns 100~ calories per hour. Is this really true? I got a job washing dishes this summer, and obviously my TDEE would be affected by an 800 calorie exertion every day

You fool, everyone knows dishwashing kills gains
>>38054945
But why though
Make up for it with those 'being around food as a dishwasher' gains. I was a skinny street kid and gained 20 pounds after working as a dishwasher and having access to food for once. Once they had moved me up to line cook, I was shovelling it in.

>tfw no free food at my job
Do most kitchens do this?
>>38055761
Most kitchens I know of and even a few fast food restaurants do this just depends on your boss
>The internet says
>>38055834
Nah usually it's just a reduced rate. It's almost always cheaper to make your own food

You get free food if you work in a kitchen, it's that simple.
Even if it's not "free" as your manager says, they'll almost guaranteed give you leftovers, make you food just for the heck of it or give you food if they fuck up an order or make the wrong thing

Well, say your TDEE is 2400 a day... and there's 24 hours in a day... so, yeah, that's probably not too far off.

I worked at this Greek restaurant for a while as a waiter. It's super important to know all the food so that you know what you're giving people. During slower days the cook would off "Hey Anon, you ever had [insert menu item]?" Then they make it for you. It's unreasonable for them to expect you to order the entire menu and try everything, so they just hand you stuff often.
