Has anyone ever had problems not making gains? I mean doing a certain program, coming back tired after every workout, eating a ton of protein and in general, but not still not seeing results? How did you fix it?
I'm doing stronglifts but with more reps for hypertrophy and some dumbell exercises thrown in and I've been lifting the same weight for over a month now. I just don't get it; it's really frustrating.

How many calories are you eating and how many hours do you sleep a night?

Found your problem, it's fuckarounditis. No, seriously dude. Short, maximal compound lift sets is what made me break that plateau. But that's just me.

I sleep at least 7-8 hours.
I eat as much as possible. I have a fast metabolism and I've always been very thin, so I'm basically perma bulking. I don't count calories but this month I'll eat maybe four big meals a day and snacks in between. I weigh 145 lbs.

plateauing and wondering why but stlll not counting how much you eat...? Seriously dude?
>>38015874
I've been doing 5x10 or 5x12; I'll try doing 5x5 in that case.

Ok, all this tells me is is that you don't eat enough. Have you been tracking your weight?
>stronglifts but with more reps for hypertrophy
Also stop this.

Are you CERTAIN you're eating enough? I thought I was eating 3500 cal a day at one point but when I actually counted for a bit turns out I was really eating about 2700.
>>38015913
What difference would it make? I know that I eat more than 2500 calories easy and I'm not getting fat or anything.
>>38015829
weigh your food and count calories you retard.
Being tired after everyworkout is a sign you're not eating enough.

I eat as much as possible at the moment. Even if I'm not eating enough, I couldn't possibly eat more barring GOMAD. I am not going to do GOMAD for the rest of my lifting career.
>>38015936
It's not about getting fat, you need to increase your calories in order to build muscle.
>>38015965
You can always eat more, you just have to change the food you are eating to more calorie dense stuff if you get sick of eating. That's why some people dirtybulk at Micky D's.
>>38015965
You should really try counting for at least a little bit, just to be sure. Why not? There isn't any harm in it rather than a few minutes of your day. If you actually aren't eating enough try peanuts/peanut butter. It's calorie dense so you won't have to shovel a bunch down your throat and risk upsetting your stomach. Other than that, don't mess with programs right now. You should be focused on adding weights to the compounds not doing a bunch of random shit for mass. (I'm assuming you're somewhat new to lifting)

Yeah, that's probably a good middle ground. I personally do 1-3 reps on pushing exercises + squat/dl and 4-7 on pulling movements 'cause I dunno it feels right. I feel like starting to cry when I hit the 8th rep in something, what a chore.
Eat more. It works.

>I'm doing a program
>Except I'm not really doing it lol
Fuck off
