Okay. So I've always been a skinny person, hovering around 130 pounds at 5"5. During the winter I had an extreme - I mean extreme sensitivity to cold. I'd have to hide under a heated blanket for an hour to warm up from 5 minutes outside. I was also very fatigued. I went to a doctor to ask about it, maybe hypothyroidism, but he asked if I have ever had depression, I said yes, and he ignored my concerns about my thyroid and focused in on depression. Long story short, I'm on Effexor now and it's really helping my depression. But in the past few months I've been losing weight like I've never seen before. I've been 130 for over 6 years and I'm suddenly around 118-119. What is this??? My arms are skinny, my legs are skinny. I've always had thick, muscular legs. It's weird.
Here's the hard part- around the same time I decided to get on Effexor, I started really getting serious about nutrition. I cut out sugar almost completely from my diet, and quit snacking. Now I eat almost exclusively healthy, sugar-free foods. Plant based, not vegetarian, I do indulge - but mostly. I've never eaten this healthy before. But 10 pounds in under 2 months? That seems a little extreme, especially because I was only 130 before. Help? I don't want to be unhealthy.
