I'm 186cm(6'1) and recently I went to SK. I felt so fucking average. At least at home i'm a little taller than most. why the fuck is this?
Your not 6'1
I'm 5'7 (half Greek/half Australian) and work in SK and it's the only place I don't feel like a manlet.
>>37998969 notwithstanding, South Koreans are bigger than most Asians. Good public health, Bergmann's rule, and they eat more meat than the Japs.

You're not 6'1 OP

You're pretty short for a greek australian mix.
I genuinely feel sorry for you

average height doesnt factor in that most of the adults and old people were malnurished as fuark and had stunted growth because of it.
younger SKs are much taller than their parents

This. The old people here are pretty short.

See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_average_human_height_worldwide (there's one Chinese sample taller than the South Korean samples, but the average across samples is higher for the South Koreans)
This list says that they consume quite a bit more meat than Japan, but quite a bit less than China, which strikes me as unlikely desu: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_meat_consumption
But there it is, for what it's worth.

My mum is like 5'0 and my dad is 5'9

Chinese meat consumption is apparently extremely variable based on class and location. The rural poor don't eat a huge amount but the urban middle class diet has become increasingly westernised and meat heavy.

You're not tall.
I lived in Korea for a year. I'm 188cm. I felt like a giant. In a crowd I'd be head and shoulders above everyone.
Koreans asked me for pictures. Most said it was my height. But some said theyd never seen blue eyes IRL and wanted a pic.
