I'd say the best time would be when a) you have the most energy and b) later the better.

Everyone has different peaks throughout the day and the later you work out the sooner you can sleep on it and make mad gains. Working out in the morning may hamper your gains depending on how busy/strenuous your days are.

I've got an hour drive commute and I pass by the gym 5 minutes before getting to work. I usually stop in around 12:30-1pm. Not too busy around then.

Thinking of switching it up though and going after work at around 11:30pm so it'll be empty as fuck and I don't have to worry about shit. I don't have a strenuous job so what say you /fit/?
