I started at the gym for the first time the other day. Yesterday was my second day and my friend really put me through it on arms. He's a body builder and has been doing this for a long time and he told me to expect pain the next day but this is crazy. My arms started failing me hours after I got back and got severely painful and I lost the ability to straighten them. Waking up today the pain is next to excruciating, I can't move them at anything faster than a slugs pace and have to fold them just right to not be in pain. Have I sustained a big injury or is my body still learning to cope? Also how can I better judge my limits?

Pussy
Hahahahaha
No but seriously you're fine. It's pretty stupid to be doing high volume high intensity bodybuilding workouts right off the start. Just do strong lifts for a while so you're kinda strong then choose what you want from there. Aesthetics or str

I'm not whining here, I'm generally clueless as to whether this is normal. I'm still gonna be back at the gym to do it again. I've gotta start somewhere
>>37994388
you're arms will never work again
>>37994506
Kek, alright thanks for the serious answer!
>>37994443
a singular noun. why are you treating it like a plural?
>>37994388
you are sore. and if you went hard the first tine ever kifting and didnt strech you will be REALLY fucking sore
but you are fine just rest your arms
>>37994571
I am really fucking sore, which makes sense because we didn't stretch
>>37994583
you don't stretch before lifting, that actually results in more injuries. you lift a lighter set before, if anything.
>>37994614
Oh well we did progressive sets and then did some supersets
>>37994583
>bodybuilder
>the first rule of lifting is to stretch after your workout
>anyone who doesnt is a dyel retard
There's a difference between doms which feels like a weak bruise or sharp tender tendonitis pain.
If you want to find out what doms is, jerkoff really fast for 2 minutes, that's lactic acid buildup but that's what doms feels like
>>37994720
This guy is a retard that has never had bad doms. Bad doms is ridiculously painful.

I'll take the b8, when I used to do maxes/low reps I always had doms. Bending over just to spit out water after brushing teeth sore back. Walking and going up/down stairs after leg day. After chest day if I tried to climb a fence at the top and climb over I felt like it was going to tear
I had tendonitis on my elbow and my neck before. I know what that is cya fag
