Wrong and incorrect and I'm not talking about surgery. Probably the single most influential thing regarding your face development is correct tongue posture (on the roof of the mouth and not anywhere else ). Incorrect posture causes crowding of the teeth, narrow palate, dropped upper jaw, recessed lower jaw, deviated nasal septum, etc (that's just aesthetic consequences). It causes mouth breathing which can lead to shitload of other problems (can also take away your gains among other things).
Keeping correct tongue posture will provide optimal facial development (if you're up to 12 yeas old). It probably works in adults as well (bone is living tissue and will change according to outer forces) but it will take more time.
This being /fit/, I'm guessing it will be even faster process because of the exercise induced hormonal changes.
