5x5 crippling depression
1x5+ anxiety
then 1 year rest
1x8-12 religious illumination

Not only did someone type this out, proof read, and thought it made sense, someone else threw this fucking word soup on a black and white no one to give it legitimacy.

Start with the Greeks

I'm nearing that religious illumination stage. I find myself staying up late some nights researching numerous religions to find the one I can dedicate myself to and finally build up my morals from a template. Then I go out there to see the world the next day and think why bother.

>become broken
>Reforge

Do this while reading different pieces of literature.

Start with something light-possibly even fiction (Wheel of Time) and move to something more cerebral.

you have to take the leap of faith
>>
Constantly be reading articles, and watching videos from different wise minds from different fields.

Respected sports commentators, economists, historians, athletes, anyone that specialized in any field or hobby. Learn their philosophies and learn general knowledge about their thing.

Also, any kind of broad literature will have small bits of the author's personal philosophy interjected into it. Make a game of recognizing it and trying to break down what they're saying.

Socialise.
Remember not to share a story if it isn't relevant
Remember not to share a story if it doesn't have a start, middle and end that is over within a minute
Understand social cues, if someone gives you a closed answer (yes/no) then they probably don't want to talk to you
Understand when people are being polite
All this can be perfected by talking to people, if you don't have people to talk to then you should sign up to meetup and find local clubs in your area and socialise there.

You are not going to make friends imitating anyone, especially from fiction, you are not an anime character and you are not the clothes that you wear.
Also, lose the fedora/trench coat/fingerless gloves/skull rings and jewellery if you have them

I went through that myself.

What happened, eventually, was finding this recurring kernel of truth in every doctrine. After a few years of soaking up all that knowledge it sort of congeals in your mind and synthesizes into something that works for you.

The important part is living what you believe after you start believing it.

Visit national parks or the beach or forest and hike (or experience at all) once a month

It's not what you appreciate but the appreciation itself. Enjoying life's more nuanced joys makes you a better person, push yourself and learn to love it.

>intelligent and nihilistic with a wicked sense of humor xf

>Started a program for social anxiety
>The therapy's all exposure based
>Forced to hold conversations with strangers
>Have to force myself through my own spaghetti
>Usually feel more anxious when I leave but make good gains

It's like working out but instead of soreness I just feel inadequate and autistic and then see some slight improvement in my social life.
>>
Most social exchanges leave me depressed as fuck at myself. I want to move out of town for a fresh start, but I'll just wind up the same way elsewhere.
