it's not magic. it doesn't make you smarter. it just lets you avoid sleep and the effects of a lack of sleep while you take it.

not for extended use. don't take it for more than a week straight.

Yes. Bought a bunch off of a friend last year.

Modafinil will keep you up for hours. You will feel like it's 10 AM - not tired, but not as energetic as you are at 7 AM. Not as fun as adderall or other amphetamines. But it gets the job done.

If you're doing dull work, I would advise you just to sleep it off. Modafinil will just make you even more bored with the shit you're doing.

modafinil is great for curbing sleep/drowsiness and nothing else, if you lack discipline or motivation to get shit done, you'll still be inefficient
i've pulled all nighters where I spent at least half of my extra 8 hours watching porn and shit posting
also, be wary of how damaging a lack of sleep is on gains.

It's the only thing that effectively treats my depression, and it allows me to manage myself better. Too bad my insurance doesn't cover it for off-label reasons anymore.

On protriptyline now, it's mildly stimulatory but boy does it make me stressed out when I miss a dose. With modafinil, it's not really noticeable at all.

Just finished my first year of med school. Took these during the exam season because I left too much to the last minute.

It won't make you instantly smarter or anything but it will keep you up and in my experience, make you slightly more focused.

Its effects are very subtle though so be careful not to exceed the recommended dosage because you think you can't 'feel' it. Also, don't mix with caffeine. It will give you horrible anxiety.

Make sure you have a list of stuff you want to get done or you may end up like me and decide to research the history of the royal family for half a day a week before exams.

I got the complete opposite of the usual effects. I got really tired and hungry. It was horrible.

I'm not sure if you can say that it increases Libido, but if you work out and your testosterone is very high it will make you much more focused on jerking off when you do. For whatever reason, likely related to the affect it has on the central nervous system, it makes your orgasm take much longer to reach- so much so that you might find yourself looking at porn and jerking off for 10 hours and blowing like a fire hose when you finally climax.

Basically it's meth light with less hangover once you go off of it. Be careful you don't get addicted.

The older ones that i forgot the name of (began with E) gave you such a buzz that you would love doing work, a proper euphoria and youd love your music. Downside is youd then become a paranoid depressed anti social cuck, well i did at least. By contrast modafinil just makes you feel awake and if you dont get work done when youre not sleepy I dont think its going to be as helpful as you expect it to be

I love modafinil and coffee. The mod amplifies the effect of the caffeine.

When I'm studying or have a heavy day of lectures and classes, I'm on mod and coffee all day long.

Bullshit, there's no addiction at all. I've used it pretty much daily during term time for the past 3 years. No cravings ever on weekends, and no cravings currently during the summer when I haven't taken them in around 2 months.

The problem for me is it would fuck up my sleep that night, which would make me tired the next day, which would force me to take another modafinil, which would fuck up my sleep etc etc...

That first day was fucking amazing, but once you get stuck in that stimulant loop you become a walking zombie.

2 year user of modafinil.
I take 200mg roughly 3 times a week.
Sometimes more sometimes less. I also take a whole week off once a month or so.

I work 40 hour works while completing a full study load at university studying my Masters in Construction Project Management.

Sometimes I question whether weight training (seriously, using gear) and juggling studying and eventually practicing medicine be achieved.

There is an only youtuber and coach who is a medical doctor and competitive bodybuilder - Todd Lee MD.

So it is possible. Just wanted some insight from someone whose chosen a similar path.

first time I had a solid plan of what I wanted to study and it was fine and beneficial.

Second time I finished all my work in an hour or so and spent the next few hours walking around my house shirtless, posing in front of mirrors and jacking off to myself.
