You work out 3-4 times a week if youre natty, more and you are basically your own gains goblin. Also novice on SS is the strength level of someone who has been working out around 3 months, not a literal novice who just touched the bar for the first time. Also, with that strength I'm guessing you don't do full ROM.
Go until chin hits the top of the bar and go down until elbows locked. Waggling up and down on the bar isn't doing shit mate.
