There is no synthesized version of b12 that can stay in your liver (the primary place it sits when your body becomes over saturated with it) if you're not eating b12 pretty much every meal as a vegan in plentiful amounts, you will be deficient.

Normal humans can absorb b12 from animals in enough of an abundance due to the absorption process, giving us a day to few days before we are completely depleted of it. If you have an abundance of b12 in your diet your liver can store it for quite a few years, meaning if you ever miss a meal you're fine.

Vegans piss out most of their b12 right after eating it, the body grabs what it can, the rest is instantly passed. Much like a multivitamin passes 90% of its vitamins an hour after you take it.

The entire portion in the middle where they clearly state that synthesized b12 will eventually cause a deficiency, the earliest case was 2 months, the average was 5.
The only reason it took so long was because the liver and muscles were releasing the stored b12, eventually a deficit will hit where the body will not use only synthesized b12 or such a little amount that you will begin to develop b12 deficiency.

This study put lacto-ovo vegetarians on a vegan diet and saw the B12 levels drop. There's no indication that this happened despite supplementation, there's no mention of supplementation at all.

Sorry I was reading through some of the other citations, but this is the one that is directly linked to what I was talking about. I thought you were actually going to use the citations, but hey it's cool.
Scroll down a little bit and you'll see the portion where the first couple started showing serious deficiency problems (anemia) within a couple of months time, that's where they started supplementing them and the research shows that while supplementing synthesized b12 did show an increase to red cell count and other things.
SB12 was still noticeably lower than their meat eating counterparts, which is what I was trying to tell you guys earlier.
You don't have to be sickly to be deficient in b12, just like the average man is deficient in Vitamin D now days. It is true that most vegans are on some level even if it's just slightly minor deficient.

Ah, so you misrepresented the research. All of the participants were put on a vegan diet, while some of them were given B12 supplementation from the start. The ones who had no B12 from any source saw their B12 levels go down, while ones drinking soy milk in place of cow's milk had normal B12 levels, and a tablet of 100ug, which is apparently 100mcg, given just once a week for 6 weeks, was able to increase B12 levels in people with low serum B12, which totally contradicts what you said. There were also no "meat eating counter-parts" to compare to, it was strictly a study about putting vegetarians on total vegan diets.
