PRs on the big 3 today. Has anyone else had a lot of success with using higher rep ranges in training? I know most routines have people using mostly lower reps, but in the past several months I've found that a lot of high reps have really helped improve my lifts as much as, if not more than, the lower rep ranges.

I meant reps per set in this case. I've been doing two workouts per week each for squat and deadlift. One session is 3x8, one session is 3x5. I'm not sure on the percentage, because I basically just picked a weight and started adding 5lbs every week. For each I have an assistance and an accessory, both that are doing a really good job at targeting a specific weakness in each lift. I'll do those for 3x5 or 3x8, depending what the lift is. Bench training has been very similar, just more frequent.

The plan from here is to move to a block of 4s and 7s, and then to 3s and 5s, then peak for USAPL Raw Nationals (and try to fill out the -105 class in the mean time)

I try hard, that's all I can say tBh. I realize that some people try hard and get fucked by injury or something. I'm lucky to not have had that happen yet, at least not to where I've had to stop for any extended time. I also had a pretty solid strength base before I started lifting from wrestling. like, my first day in the gym that I was actually doing MAX EVERY SESSION, I just did a 1RM on all 3 lifts, then a 5x5 with my buddy who told me to do MAX EVERY SESSION, and I hit 275/185/idk, so I do reaalize I had a decent starting spot
HOWEVER
with everything that I've run up to this point, I've done some things to make it harder on myself, whether it is taking short ass rest times, adding weight to the prescribed work, adding volume, or inflating maxes, I do a lot of things to make it hard on myself that I see a lot of people are unwilling to do, and I think that has helped my progress a lot.
ALSO
I think I have been pretty lucky with choosing my programming. I meme about MAX EVERY SESSION, but for real, that got some quick ass beginner gains, then c6w worked like magic for all 3 lifts tBh, then sheiko gave me some pretty good gains both times I ran it. and now it's looking like supersaltyballs (pretty much try harder: the program) is working just fine, based on how many rep PRs I've hit with decent weight.

The standard advice is to put on as much muscle as you can. This will offset the disadvantage of longer levers and the rest of your body being heavier to scale to your height. Manlets will have smaller organs, bones, everything, so if you weigh as much as a shorter person eith similar joints, you will lose. Their levers are shorter and you have more stuff youre carrying to keep yourself alive than them.
