Warmup/Technique Work (Split Jerk Drills and Snatch Stuff)
If knee is up for it: Light Quick Back Squat 3x5
Rack Jerk 5x2
Power Clean 5x2 OR Clean Pull 5x3 (I'll see how my knee is again)
Snatch High Pull 5x3
Back Extension 4x5-8 (Goal is to go heavy, doing variation where you round back and lock hips, so it's spinal erector isolation, also 2 second hold at the top for isometric contraction/endurance)
Press 5x5 and Row 4x6 for the BEACH MUSCLES
Leg Press 4x6-8 or something if my knee can take it and I have time

Time Management:
warmup/tech: 20 minutes
Squat: 10 minutes for rests and warmups
Jerks: 5 minutes warmup/set time, 10 minute rests
Power Cleans/Pulls: 5 minute warmups/whatever, 10 minute rests
Snatch High Pull: Same, 15 minutes total we'll say, but perhaps even only 10
Back extension: 10 minutes or so
Press: 15 minutes to do all 5x5, maybe 5 minutes to warmup and do the sets themselves, maybe I'll cut some sets off to save time.
Rows: Should be quick.. 10 minutes?
Leg press: 15 minutes...

Total time: 2 hours and 5 minutes

Have you measured your limb segment to torso ratios? The formulas are in Gregg Everett's "Olympic Weightlifting". Some people (i.e.; "lanklets") are simply not cut out for Oly lifting. You can still strength train but you can forget about the Olympic lifts.

1. Your setup looks more like you're going to deadlift. Lower your butt a bit. i can't see how straight your shins are, but they should be bent and the barbell should be over the balls of your feet

2. don't look at the ground, this is not a deadlift. Look straight or a bit up. Take a point of reference.

3. Don't rush the first pull. This will help get the second pull right, where you really start to accelerate the bar.

4. Keep your heels longer on the ground, until you come to power position. Then do the triple extension

5. You don't finish your second pull. Think about getting as tall as you can.

6. Your elbows don't stay over the barbell after second pull. When you pull it up, keep your elbows over the bar. This way you keep it closer to your body, and pull it upwards. The reason you jump a bit forward is that the bar gets away from you, this will be more significnt when you start to pull heavier weights.

It's all technical for me, I'm slowly getting there.
I mean it wasn't a massive amount of weight (i'm finally snatching over body weight).
I have the strength to pull the bar, but technically, I'm out of sync with the pull, I find shrugging in that position unnatural and I never finish the pull itself.

Once I get all these things ironed out I reckon I can start getting good numbers down.

Hey friends, I think I want to get into weightlifting, transitioning from powerlifting after about three years. About a year ago, asked my high school coach to just show me a bit of the movements, and as he was showing me how to snatch, the bend in my arm came up.

When I was younger, I fractured my arm, and long story short, I can't bend my arm past, say, ~160 degrees (pic related). Because of this, I think it would affect me in that I don't know how well I could lock out at the top of snatches and jerks.

Should I just try weightlifting regardless, or would it hold me back? I would be weightlifting just for fitness/aesthetics. The only way to fix the arm issue would be to fracture it again, but it's not that important to me.

Its not that great; I just started Olympic weightlifting in March after I injured my knee. I weigh 170 lb and 5'10

I've been working on my technique so I haven't attempted any maxes for each move yet.

Snatch: 90 lb so far x5 rep (I can do more but just focusing on technique)

Clean and Jerk: 145 lb x1 (same with c&J)

The only good thing is that I have really good ankle, hip and shoulder mobility and flexibility so that kind of made things easier for me.

Well I go currently go to a local gym that has platform, but isn't strictly dedicated to Olympic weightlifting. I'm not gonna say which one because I'm not comfortable revealing myself since there is only couple of weightlifters at the gym I go to.

I've went to Ryerson gyms, Uoft AC, and Fortis. They're all good gyms imo.

It is okay up until the hips and extension. The extension looks fine but you are bringing your hips too far forward and swinging the bar away from you. Try focus on pulling that bar straight up, mm from your stomach and chest.

Fair. But, aesthetics doesn't necessarily mean bodybuilding physique. Running, swimming, powerlifting, etc. all produce very unique physiques. They're all pretty unarguably better than the physique of an untrained person, but I don't know if there's a definite best physique between the different types of physical training.
