I came to /fit/ a good few years ago now looking to lose weight as an obese female. I am 5ft and back then weighed around 240lbs, and had been obese my whole life - pretty much fat as a kid as soon as a kid could get fat, after being born normal. Ate like shit. Never did any activity. 'Hated exercise'. Lonely, ugly, sat in my room on my own all day, no friends.. except for the ones on WoW.

/fit/ were actually really helpful on the whole, but of course a lot of well deserved shit was thrown my way... especially because I posted pictures.

One person told me I would never succeed, because fatasses never do, and I remember screencapping it and making it my desktop image to remind myself to prove them wrong - I've lost this image now. I also stopped lurking /fit/ after a while.

Came back here today to reminisce. I've gone from that sedentary fatass to 95lbs currently, lifting three times a week and loving it, finding a passion for running too (I realised that 'hating exercise' simply meant I had never given being any sort of active a chance), in a loving relationship and lots of friends (real ones, not internet ones on WoW), and basically feeling on top of the world. Only thing left of my old life, when I lasted posted here, is the loose skin. Which is disgusting and sucks but at least it's not killing me.

I have nothing really to thank /fit/ for, it was only one thread and other than that I just lurked a lot in those early days, and no one gives a flying fuck, but I guess I wanted to post a little something anyway. Posting here because it doesn't deserve it's own thread.

im a rad tech student at a hospital and we go into the OR regularly to operate a c-arm (big x-ray machine) for the surgeons. the surgeons constantly joke around with the attending nurses and yep, the anesthesiologist is usually playing games on their phone and also sleeping lol
