I'm still on the three day la. I drive 30ish minutes to the gym and it's fucking annoying and the tonnage is similar on the three day so I figured I'd do that since I have nothing to do before work during the day besides vidya, reading, or beach so 2.5ish hours at the gym isn't so bad.

Hard to say without vids, but if he's tight in the ankles, hips, and quads he'll have a ton of forward knee travel and drive off his forefoot, shooting the hips back.

1) you weren't ready, or
2) you don't need it
The volume you need to drive progress increases the stronger you get (also depends on >genetics), and frequency is probably the most effective way to get more volume in. You'll still see people training each lift twice a week and win World's, and you'll see people training more frequently win World's. The frequency & volume that works best is individual, and saying high frequency is bad for 95% of powerlifters is, imho, a mistake.
