How can I increase the number of push up I do? Should I work the arms? Or the endurance?

If youre serious, then this is just simply the rule of specificity. if you want to get better at push ups, do more push ups.

You dont even need to be strong to do 100 pushups. It's mostly power to body weight ratio.

Step 0) Do a bunch of pushups until you literally can't do another one, and by "literally" I mean you push yourself halfway up and fall flat on your face, or you can't even get off the floor.

Step 1) How many was that?

Step 2) If less than 5, left column. If 6-10, middle column, if 11=20, right column.

Step 3) Let's assume you could do between 6-10 pushups in a row without failing. That puts you in the middle column.

Step 3.1) Do 6 pushups. That's set 1. Flop on your face and count 60 seconds whether tired or not.
Step 3.2) Do another 6. That's set 2. Wait another minute.
Step 3.3) Can you do 4? Bet you can. That's set 3. Wait another minute. You know how pathetic you're feeling. Maybe you wait 90 seconds instead of 60.
Step 3.4) How about another 4? Right. Do that. Wait another minute. Or 90. Or even 120.
Step 3.5) Man, you feel like shit. But you've just done 6/6/4/4 for a total of 20 push-ups. And waited a minute ofter your last push-up. How many you got left in the tank? Go until you fail. Count that number and write it down.

Step 4. Take a day off.

Step 5. I'll bet that number in step 3.5 is bigger the next time you try it.

Step infinity: Every once in a while, go back to step 0 and see how many you can do without failure.
