You can see that he takes his breath (not counting the pressure breathing here) at an almost halfway down position, I've found that to be the most comfortable position you're in an "open" enough position to fully inflate your diaphragm, but close enough to setup that you can get your air, setup quickly and pull, without holding your breath for a needlessly long time.

If you're hitting 70% of your old weight, stay there for a week, next week aim for 80%, then 90% and so on.
Unless you haven't lifted for ages it'll likely work, but see how you feel.
If all else fails, you can overload the traditional way, but a little periodization in your slightly weakened state might do you a lot of good.

Theoretically, you do 1->2->comp all the way and do a mock meet at the end and test new maxes.
Then you start over again.

There are ways of customising it, but that's pretty much you on your own.
The recommendation is do a full cycle as is once, and then customise whatever you feel will work better for you for the next cycles.

Now, what should I go for on the 18th? doing a mock meet

my 1rm for squat is 125, but that's after a failed attempt at 120 for 5, so should i open at 130? my personal goal is to get to a 140kg squat, it's not too far off anymore.

Bench my 1rm is 85kg touch and go 2 months ago, without leg drive and a flat back. so i'm thinking start at 80, then 85, and if it feels good 90, if it feels super hard 87.5. personal goal on the bench is 100kg

Deadlifting my best 1rm is 155 but it was a really sketchy lift that i don't think would have been greenlighted, more realistically it was 150. but i've done 145 for 5 reps recently so will open at at least 155. my goal here is 180kg

so i need to add 15kg to my squat, at least 15kg to my bench who really knows and 30kg to my deadlift to reach my goals
