I hurt my wrists about ten years ago doing reverse curls and they never fully recovered. I use wraps on lifts that involve a lot of arm use and it helps in the gym but when i lift stuff outside i can tell they are getting weaker from wrapping them and not training with them.

Anything where i isolate wrists ends my workout for the day. Three years after i stopped working them i thought I'd try and one set destroyed them for the next week.

tape helps to satablize your wrists, but because your wrists aren't working as hard your wrists don't get stronger. It's why for self defense you don't want to train with taped wrists, because when you actually need to defend yourself you'll have pussy weak wrists and hurt yourself when you punch tyrone in the butt.
