You should vary your training frequency and do what benefits you most.

I'm training deadlifts 3x a week fine and without issue because I needed to increase my max for a more proportionate total.
Weights moving easy, it isn't too taxing.

There is no ideal frequency for any lift, do it more if it's weak, do it less if you wish to maintain or progress slower.

Also supplement with face pulls and general rowing.

For what it is worth, weighted chins have helped my bench press.

I lost less strength on a cut, and at maintenance, I'm stronger at the bottom of the press. Also, most shoulder issues have resolved since I committed to doing some type of balancing pull every day.

I don't use them, because they add kilos. Gibbs himself refrains from using them until nearing late-mid peak, and mentions they make a significant difference.
Try loose ones on, and do a BW pistol squat, and just the bunching of the fabric behind the knee and the slight compression shoots you out of the hole. Tight sleeves absolutely add to the squat.

What's your opinion on specificity for a new lifter? (Been training like a year, year and a half?)

I've dropped overhead pressing and chin-ups in favour of powerlifting specificity.
I did this mostly because the program I am running (Greg nuckols 3 day intermediate bench) has no overhead press programmed.

I feel like I might have made a mistake. Been benching only for a few months now though. Overhead press has maintained last time I checked.
