Is there any real reason I shouldn't replace the bench press with weighted dips?

As long as you do some incline work it couldn't be that bad despite this being a b8 thread, dips have helped me increase my bench quite a bit. Mark Bell said in a video a while back that he took a break from bench for a bit and was doing weighted dips and when he came back he hit a PR but I'm not sure where that was.

What makes you think it's bait?
I just hate benching.
Can you repeat the question?
Sorry, who?

Le maymay faec. You are going to want to do at least some kind of benching movement for chest and incline is way less shit than flat as far as enjoyment. Do your dips and then do like 50-60 degree incline dumbbell bench then cable or machine flies.

Would dumbbell bench + dips be enough? I don't like barbell benching and I don't want to bother with cable shit
