Cool thanks. I'll have to look into adding in power cleans into my programming. Right now its basically just Squat, Bench, Dead, OHP and Sumo each once a week with accessory afterwards.

Do I have the right idea with doing everything but work sets as explosively as I can? I feel I've been making progress in that my light stuff has been getting faster, just doesn't seem to carry over to anything heavy, those lifts still look the same as they always have. Just time and patience I guess? It's only been about 4 months since I even attempted to start going explosively.

First PR day since my SABO Powerlifts arrived

Squat 117.5kg for 5 attempt failed, i managed one rep, and then a second attempt got 2 reps.

77.5kg for 5 bench attempt FLEW UP, training with a belt really helps keep tightness, and my form and set up is so much better now. the shoes helped with leg drive as well

95kg for 5 convention deadlift went up

145kg for 5 sumo deadlift only went up 3.5 times, couldn't lock it out the 4th time ;_;

then i did a 100kg for 5 conventional. then a 105, then a 110, then a 120kg for 5 reps conventional and each time it just flew up!

Also learned front squatting did 60kg for 3x5

Incline press 3x5 at 50kg

leg press 3x5 at 73kg

Bench goes from 76.5 to 77.5

Lol. Literally how you put the shirt on. If you rotate the sleeves inwards and pull the collar down, the shirt gets tighter and harder to touch.

I recommend learning in the angled sleeved katana or super katana, honestly (difference is the super is a better material, same sizing, shape and seams).

As you get more used to it, you can also pull in more. Calling it rowing strength isn't very accurate, it's got to be done in the right way most importantly. Tl;dr technique, in dressing yourself and being in the power band.

If you want to learn how to lift in gear you're going to have to go find a powerlifting gym and train there. At which point you should receive far better advice in person than on here. Trying to train in a commercial gym in gear without a squad of spotters who know what's up is possibly suicidal.

Mine is half the cost of the globogym I spent the last year at. It's dank, good crew of dudes, specialty bars, etc.

IDK depends where you are and how nice the gym is. In America with decent competition? Not much. Elsewhere, depends a lot.

As for what you get, it's a bit variable, depending on the culture, but, no one gets mad at you for using chalk or loud music, you don't get weird looks for squatting. People will tell you to squat deeper instead of telling you to quarter squat to save your knees. You can actually get a proper spot from basically anyone. Depending on the gym, you can get much better advice in person, in real time than on plg. It's nice.
