As a type 1 I have done a cake stall as a form of education. People aren't aware that we can eat what we want but we just carb count to adjust our insulin to our ratios. I worked out the kcal/carbs for each cake and had people play a guessing game and explained why it was important to know nutritional information as a type 1.
Yes it's still important to eat healthily but I could kill someone when they say "aren't you not meant to have that". I've had someone do that to me over eating yoghurt even.
