i had it last month. i can grip just fine but i get the numbness and tingle sensation. i realised it's link to stress for me so i try to relax more an stop worrying as much. it will go away op just stress too much

Some people have a structural issue where their ulnar nerve gets unusually compressed at the elbow during flexion, and this can be exacerbated by inflammation of the fascial sheath that can come with activity. NSAIDs and minimizing elbow flexion can sometimes help to get the nerve and fascia calmed down enough to where the symptoms go away, but if that fails, there are surgical options available.

Conservative surgery usually tries to open up the fascial sheath at the elbow to decompress the nerve (similar to carpal tunnel surgery), but more drastic (and arguably effective) options include transposing the nerve from behind the medial epicondyle to course over the medial flexor musculature, which in theory improves symptoms (but in practice it can vary due to stage of nerve damage sustained prior to surgery as well as the amount of inflammation one may have following such a surgery).

Source: Med student who has shadowed orthopedic surgeons, and this was a common reason for office visits. I didn't personally sit on any of these surgeries, but I've seen patient visits pre- and post-op.

I got this after sleeping on my arm. I think I pinched my ulnar nerve (funny bone). It went away after a few months. Imagine having half your hand asleep for a few months, it was gay.

I get this if I rest on my elbow for any extended period of time. Ring and pinky go numb af and curl up.

Also close crip incline pinches my cubital nerve right at the bottom and I get a jolt of numbness all the way down that side of my arm to my fingertips.

Feels odd af but no pain.

It's far and away more likely to be cubital tunnel syndrome. Thoracic outlet would be more likely to present additionally with vascular symptoms, such as cyanosis or Raynaud's-like symptoms due to compromised arterial inflow, edema due to compromised venous outflow, and possible median nerve involvement. OP's situation seems like a pure ulnar nerve issue, and cubital tunnel is a common cause of such specific symptoms.

I actually just met with a specialist on the 25th for this exact problem. Surgery is obvious the last option but what really helped me was sleeping in a splint. Make sure you wear it as much as you can during the day, but it's when you're sleeping that you get the most effectiveness from it. It's been going away, although i haven't even thought about deadlifitng the last month
