by having willpower. if you actually want to cut, you'll cut. same with anything else in life. everyone on /fit/ told me I'd cave in from consuming 1000 calories a day. I'm now down 40lbs over 3 months.

I actually started eating about 1200-1500 now. I'm doing a bunch of body weight shit at home. up to 60 push-ups, 6 chin ups, 2 pull-ups every other day. then I just do assisted and negatives on the pulls. I also run a 5k every on the days I'm not "lifting." once I get down to my goal weight I plan on cashing in all my saved up change and getting a gym membership to start one of the beginner programs. the thing is, I have no urge to cave. some days I'm hungry and I'll eat a little extra but I work my ass off the next day. I track everything. thanks though, I know a lot of people cave from it but Idk I think I'm in a really good place

Every time I crave junk food I flick myself with a rubber band on my wrist. The cravings die pretty quick when you're brain associates junk food with pain.

If you have to cave in, do it, but minimise the damage. If you eat 500kcal of shit, don't then decide you fucked up and eat another 10,000kcal. Every calorie you eat is setting you back, every calorie you burn is moving you forward. All you need to do is find a balance where you can move further forward than you go back. It's better to slowly move forward than to step forward and sprint backwards.
