I literally started using an oil two days ago, and I am already noticing quite a difference, particularly in softness. I would like some opinions on the oil I'm using.
I am using supermarket bought organic virgin coconut oil. It's very cheap, AUD$6.50 for 300g.
The reason for this is when I was researching beard oils, I stumbled across a Sikh forum discussing beard maintenance and a learned elder said you must use all natural oils as chemical based oils will eventually discolour your beard over time (turn it yellow).
I'm a fan of Occam's Razor, and this seems to make a lot of sense. Am I off the mark?

Water, nigga. Water and a bunch of fingers running through. Contrary to popular belief, excess use of soap is actually bad for your skin and hair. You're supposed to retain a small level of oil.
