Her working theory is that low gh has an effect along the lines of hormesis. So low gh/igf is bad for you but your body overcompensates and it ends up being good for you. Low levels tho increase senescence, so dementia, muscle atrophy and so on are more likely tho you live longer. High levels will fuck your organs up.

There is more to it than this but what she says would seem to fit everything else as far as I can see. And from what I can work out you can do it somewhat acutely and get the best of both worlds. Valter Longo is a somewhat famous scientist that thinks you can fast for a few days and gain benefits.
