>plus where I live fish is as cheap as chicken

>>
>>36795702
probably somewhere like maine or hawaii
>>

Canada, farmed salmon is cheap

And I'm avoiding tuna, cause yeah

Can't one just forgo mercury poisoning by adding a healthy amount of freshwater fish to their diet?
>>
>>36796053
Farmed salmon isn't exactly the healthiest, because of the grain diet and antibiotics. You will, paradoxically enough, probably want an omega 3 supplement.

But yes, in general, fish is a great source of protein.
>>
>>36795664
remember it isnt as lean as tuna or chicken, salmon is a fatty fish. great for bulking obviously
>>
>>36796116
Huh really? Shit I thought it might be better since you avoid mercury plus the sustainability, huh shit

>>36796162
Yeah I'm on a bulk and chicken wasn't doing it for me, plus from what I've read fish is overall healthier so I'm trying to make the switch. Plus it's more interesting to cook with
>>
>>36796331
Farmed catfish, on the other hand, is insanely sustainable and fairly clean. Read up on the potential health issues of farmed ("Atlantic") salmon.

Salmon is very low in mercury. Just don't eat like 3 pounds a day.
