Because incorrect core bracing will fuck your squat. You need to maintain tension from the top to the bottom. Practice by inhaling and tensing and you exhale. Maintain that tension for as long as possible while breathing. Just do it as you are walking around.

Honestly what helped me was I bulked up to 84 it was only when I hit 80kgs that I finally reached 100 kg bench and then it was easier to maintain even when I cut down. Has anybody here ever had lowerback injuries and seen a doctor / physio?

What did they advise you to do? How did you rehab your injury?

I'm not sure what my injury is, the pain isn't localised, its the entire lowerback.
It reoccurs randomly. I can squat for a month fine then if I squat wrong or deadlift wrong it comes back instantly and immobilises me for the rest of the day.

When it comes I usually feel tingles around the area for a few seconds then its just hard to bend over without this dull pain for 24 hours.
It does go away.

Any advice?

After weeks of search, I've finally found a national (brazil) manufacturer who builds good quality bars.

This one will only cost us 1/2 of that. (converting to USD it's gonna cost around U$500 each. If we were to buy the rogue ohio bar, it would cost us around U$1100 each)
It's not an eleikocomp-tier bar, but it seems excellent for the price.
Gonna buy one for myself as well. Might even record some vids with it once I have it.

Every single other national manufacturer makes bars out of 1045 steel. And some are even priced as high as this one.
For you to have an idea, 1045 steel has 80k PSI tensile strength and the yield is only 45k PSI. ayy lmao

It doesn't matter as much, but it still does matter.
Just think about it for a second. All else being equal (which isn't exactly the case for sumo vs conv), would you rather lift 100% of a range of motion or 125% of a range of motion in a competition? You're just as strong at the weakest point on both and your muscles should have the same amount of ATP.
You would still choose 100% over 125% every single time tho.

I have light scoliosis and ignored it most of the time while lifting till it got so bad that I couldn't move for like two weeks. From my limited understanding, low bar works better for moving big weight because putting a bigger moment arm on the hips is better because your hip extensors should be stronger than your knee extensors

So what I'm getting at is: if I feel stronger with more knee travel, is it just an under developed posterior chain? Just not having the movement pattern ingrained like I do with my high knee travel squat?

Or should I squat in the way that feels the strongest as long as I hit depth, keep the bar over mid foot etc

Just practice in between sessions, try one legged bodyweight squats to help with your hip cues for low bar as you have to break at the hips and maintain knee stability.
