caffeine generally takes 45 minutes for it to be absorbed by your system. start drinking it before you leave, and finish it on your way to the gym.

My pre workout routine

>pick up 12z coffee on the way home from work
>1 scoop with creatine as soon as I walk in
>sip coffee and browse /fit/ on my phone while shitting
>finish coffee during the ride to the gym

By the time I'm done warming up, I feel the full effect of the caffeine. Lines up perfectly with PR attempts during intensity sets.
