What do you guys have in terms of home gear? Do you guys have any recommendations for a pull-up bar (preferably door mounted)?

I have basic shit at home I think it's good when you don't feel like seeing other people or whatever

>bench
>dumbbells
>leg press
>the ground lmao

All I've got is some dumbells (nice bowflex hand me downs that are the dials that go from 5-52lbs), a jump rope, and a mat. Is a pull up bar necessary?

Also I don't think I can afford a gym.

>"Is a pull up bar necessary?"
not if you dont want to make gainz
>>
>>36440156
Got a recommendation on a bar? Or a DIY bar? The problem is I have very little money.
>>
just basic shit, bench, weights (only 140kg for now) barbell and dumbbells, and pullup bar on which I can do various exercises like hammer pullups etc, hopefully I'll be able to expand it with squat rack soon

Iron Gym if youre broke like $30 USD max
OR for like $150 USD theres these things called "power tower" which sounds like a meme but if you get a versitile one it can be very useful. depending on how much gyms in your area are $150 is like a year of membership (planet fitness, golds gym basic)

Prices are what I paid and include tax and shipping unless otherwise noted for a Starting Strength based home gym.

Valor BD-19 Sawtooth Squat / Bench Combo from Overstock.com - $317.98
Valor DA-7 Flat Bench from Overstock.com - $120 (recent price)
Burgener & Rippetoe Men's Bar and Rogue Proloc Collars from Rogue Fitness - $354.19
Two* 6' x 4' x 0.75" Horse Stall Rubber Mats from Tractor Supply Co. - $70 (approx.)
Wei-Rui Warrior Weightlifting Shoes from MAXbarbell - $77.94
375 lb plates via Craigslist - $250

You can get coupons and discounts to bring down the cost of new gear from Overstock.com.

What I don't yet have a good way to do chin-ups or pull-ups.

*[Pictured you see my renovated basement which has wall to wall horse stall mats, but two are plenty for deadlifting.]

the as seen on TV iron gym is pretty based to be honest. You can get it for like 30 bucks at walgreens.

never go to planet fitness... unless you reallly really really only have 10 dollars a month per month, no freeweight barbell to squat and do deadlifts... also treadmills and cardio machines for days
>>
Garage gym
$120 4x6 3/4in stall mats qty 4
$300 300lb rubberized weights with bar
$200 squat rack(got lucky on CL)
$150 jump rope, inversion boots, and gymnastic rings

Future buys: flat bench, kettle bells
>>
>>36440400
Homeboy cant afford to buy a barbell w/ weight and rack though so either way his compounds are limited
>>
>>36439792
I put my barbell as high as I can on my rack and use that as a pullup bar. I can't really see how that is going to kill me, but it feels unsafe for some reason.
>>
>$75 bench/squat stand combo on CL
>$200 300 lb Olympic set from Dick's
>$60 dumbbell handles on Amazon
>$100 of extra weights at Dick's
>$230 trap bar

Seems expensive, but a couple years at a nice gym would cost more without the convenience.
>>
>>36440479
Doorframe pullup bars are like $20. I was 210lb at my fattest and never had a problem.
>>
>>36440449
>kek
why pay extra for shit he can do at home already... on second op go caveman status go out into a wild place find a giant rock and start lifting buddy
>>
Dip station $70
Pullup bar $20
Backpack $15
Sandbag(s) $4

Literally all you need for a home gym
