I know people who cheat and they claim their body goes back to normal after a few days, for me it doesn't....I gain noticeable fat in the mirror and the scale weight goes up and does not come back down. 1 cheat day can fuck up my weight for 2 weeks or more.

Been lifting 4 years so it's got to do with genetics, not me being sedentary.

Don't schedule failure, prepare for it.
Unless you're the kind of person who turns down cake at every birthday party, and brings a sack lunch of tuna and a shaker of whey powder to every night out at a restaurant. When it's appropriate, have a rare off-diet meal. They'll come up often enough, and you will indulge. So don't double up with scheduled failure.

I went from 260lb to 175lb as of today and this was exactly 1 year today (I started on St. Patty's, but leap year). I was down to 173lb at one point.

Today I got a Large Meat Lovers from Pizza Hut, 24 wings (8 Mild, 8 Bourbon BBQ, 8 Cajun), 2 orders of Breadsticks, and their large cookie thing.

I wanted to eat it all, but all I could eat was 3 slices of pizza, 2 breadsticks out of 10, 2 slices of the cookie, and 8 of the wings. I also ate it with ranch.

I think it came out to like 2700-2800 calories and it was the only thing I ate today besides half a burger which that's probably another 400-500 calories. I've also been drinking bunch of beer.

How the hell do people eat 4000+ calories a day?

Same story with me, I've always loved gorging myself on total junk food once a week but it's hard now to not just buy a bag of candy every now and then... It's a waste of money to go out or order all this food that I don't ever end up eating because I can't handle how trashy it is.

From my own personal experience of the last 5 years lifting, I can say for a fact, calories in vs calories out works 100%. If you think it doesn't...you're not doing it right, or just haven't done it long enough to realize it actually is 100% accurate.

I find eating a normal amount of calories everyday better than eating barely anything then feeling like I need a cheat day. Progress is much better that way and I NEVER feel like the need to cheat.

You guys are way too extreme IMO. You might be able to do cheat days and all that fun shit in your 20s, but you're not going to get away with that in your 30s, 40s etc. You best just get use to eating normal amounts of food, not doing extreme dieting which leads you to wanting to cheat.

I cut at close to -1000, so tops twice a week I'll eat maintenance. For people saying you lose strength eating at -1000 they just don't know how to hit their protein requirements
