As a recovering fatass OP who had a major food addiction, eating better helps.

But only after you've been doing it for awhile, it becomes a force of habit and through that you learn self control aswell.

There are moments when you're going to be hungry, going to have those urges but you have to fight through it. Because you will come out stronger on the other side.

You footage power through that shit.

..but there are some tips that might help.
The first is movement. Meet up all walk around. Burn some calories, but not so much as to induce more hunger.

Drink seltzer water. Flavored seltzer water is enjoyable and filling.

Eat high fiber. Lots of veggies, lots of psyllium husk.


Vitamins and electrolytes. Potassium pills, cal-mag-zinc, and a multi is enough.. Sodium intake is generally not a concern in western civilization.

Sometimes hunger is just depleted liver glycogen. A small piece of fruit may be all you need to go a couple more hours without eating..

Eat moar protein... Protein and fiber should be 99% of your food

My eating schedule that helped me when I started loosing weight, just a reference for anyone that wants to try to IF:

>6am: wake up drink 1 L of water before shower
This usually held me through out the morning until after class, if feeling hungry or thirsty try another .5L of water

1 pm: drink another L of water
If I had work I'd go to work, but it was a great time to nap and not have to think about food

5pm: First meal, usually consisted of meat,vegetables and half of a sweet potato, put me right around 400 cals

8pm: Dinner with family, what ever parents were cooking, just estimated cals here, but always tried to eat around 600

9:30pm-10:30pm:gym

11pm: Protien shake and a snack of quest bars or nuts
It only took about 3 days to get used to eating like that, and it wasn't uncommon to have several weeks without deviation. Weekends were harder because I would often drink/brunch with the amigos

Other than that, eat high protein foods, they keep you MUCH more satisfied for MUCH longer. Junk food is specifically made not to fill you up so that you eat more of it. The more natural foods will taste like crap as you get used to them but eventually they will taste great. Also, learn to distinguish between being hungry and wanting to eat.

Realistically? Keeping yourself busy. People without hobbies tend to eat the most or be the most lethargic when it comes to physical activity. Find something you're passionate in. Eventually you'll be like "fuck I have to eat something." The battle changes to how not to enter hungry skeleton mode. For me it was walking, any time I was hungry and it wasn't even close to time to eat I went for a walk, drank some water. Passed some time, just long enough so if I went back inside I was kind of on reset. Usually this would last an hour or two before I entered starving mode again. To which if it's still too early to eat, have a snack. If you're hungry your body is doing its job right. So feed it something, just make sure it's light and nutritious. Just keep doing this until it's time to eat and than eat something nutritious and filling(lots of complex carbs and protein enriched foods) you need to find the balance between bored hungry and healthy hungry. Than be proactive so you never have the healthy hungry feeling by spacing out your meals.
