High bar is inferior to low bar for EVERY sport, including Olympic weightlifting.

Idiot weightlifters believe they do high bar squats to train movement patterns because they're stupid. You back squat to build strength, regardless of your sport and the techniques used therein. Low bar, beyond any doubt, is a better method to train strength than high bar.

Weightlifters need to front squat in order to train the recovery from heavy cleans, particularly as it relates to keeping your upper back tight. But high bar remains a stupid, bastardized hybrid of actual strength training and misguided efforts to make training look like practice. It has the drawbacks of both low bar and front squats, with the benefits of neither.

Then maybe you need to train with smarter people? I'm not saying isolations are bad but compound movements are (one of) the best ways to grow muscles because they are heavy and taxing.
