Current meal thread

How'd I do senpaitachi? Just coming off a streak of bad meals which were pulling me back towards skinnyfat

I don't regard it as a reliable protein source.

I'm most satisfied by carbs. I'll often have A) one meal that's mostly carbs B) one that's carbs + all of my daily dietary fat C) two that are carbs + protein D) one that's pure protein (usually something like whey)

That works for my appetite. Keeps my stomach happy. This was an example of A.

Sure. People overestimate how much protein is needed, though. I'll take 0.65g/pound on sedentary days and push it to 0.80-0.85 the 3 or 4 days a week I run 10 miles each. Easy.

Once that's covered, I just get the fat that's necessary for hormonal functions/vitamin absorption and the rest is carbs.

I love pasta too.

Go find Fiber Gourmet pasta.

2 oz uncooked (56 g) : Calories 130, Fat 1 g, Saturated Fat 0 g, Trans Fat 0 g, Cholesterol 0 mg, Sodium 120 mg, Carbohydrate 42 g, Fiber 20 g, Sugar 2 g, Sugar Alcohol (Polyols) 0 g, Protein 7 g

It's the best nutrition profile I could find for pasta (unless we're counting Miracle Noodles or stuff like that made from seaweed). Just 130 cals. Yeah it's 42g of carb but 20 of that is fiber.

Pic related is that serving size that I made for myself. Load it up with veggies and you're good to go - I could have pasta every day without it hindering me.
