Because they have a lot of carbs. It takes like <20g carbs daily for most people to stay in keto and one serving of beans can be over 20g+ depending on the bean. Legumes are healthy, but they're not keto, since the point of keto is to get as close to zero carbs as possible. Keto is not necessarily healthy.
whole grains & fiber have been proven to be good for health markers like cholesterol, but fuck it, lets cut them out & up the fats which are shown to wreck health markers
Good for treatment-resistant obesity and epilepsy. Terrible for everything else.
