Which workout is better?
BB bench as a compound
incline dumbbell as a accessory .

Do all of them you autist
>>35394491
A.
Compounds are always great. Flat BP, deadlift, squat, ohp. Anything else I would use DB's or cables.
>>35394509
this, just do both
if you don't have enough energy for one or the other than cut some sets out respectively
generally keep to a smith machine for form but make sure to supplement with incline dumbell press for stabilty and functional strength
>>35394535
>doing incline with a bb and db's same session.
You're a moron.
What if you do all four for chest day?
>>35394509
All four exercises are compound, just saying...
>>35394553
No you
>>35394509
you cant choose to do an exercise "as a compound" or "as an accessory", it's innate to the exercise you pillock
also everyone here seems to have been cucked by Rippletits into thinking barbell = compound, and therefore inherently better than other exercise
ALTHOUGH dumbells are harder and activate more stabiliser muscles and are therefore actually more "compound"
welcome to independent thought, /fit/
bar always bar

Since most people do flat bench and overhead presses, the DB incline bench makes the most sense. In case you are not overhead pressing for some reason, the barbell incline bench should be priority. (unless, of course, in case you are a powerlifter)
Basically, use the barbell for those lifts you want to get stronger on, and use the dumbbell to develop balance and work extra volume for hypertrophy.

Dumbell presses use less triceps because the biceps are more involved in stabilization. That's why they're harder, and why barbells are better.
Only reason to use dumbbells is if you really need to do single-arm work for whatever reason.
