Should I eat bread or skip it altogether?

I've gave up refined grain and bread, so no pasta, cereal, white rice, bread, etc. I'm not a ciliac but I've notice less overall discomfort, bloating, and less gas in the past few weeks, though I've also drastically upped my water intake.

I'm going to keep refined grain off the table, but should I really keep whole grain bread off the table too? Cause if not I would use it as toast for my eggs and tuna.

You'd be wiser to avoid eggs than to avoid whole grain bread. Just make sure it really is 100% whole grain, not white flour spiked with 10% whole wheat flour like most brands are.

what's wrong with eggs? I thought they were /fit/ approved
>>

They're /fit/ approved but not very healthy, being the most concentrated source of cholesterol in the American diet. Cutting the yolk out makes them much better.

Just get gluten free options

If you noticed a good difference then keep going with it
I doubt your water intake has much to do with how gassy you are

Not bait, my friend.

The 70s called, they want their dietary recommendations back

Clinical studies show that dietary cholesterol from eggs, shrimp and other animal foods has only a modest effect on blood cholesterol. In fact, public health authorities place more emphasis nowadays on the influence that dietary fat has on cholesterol levels

>Clinical studies show

Post a study and we'll talk about it. Here's an analysis of metabolic ward experiments, they show that dietary cholesterol can have a strong effect on blood cholesterol levels.

The confusion comes from the fact that feeding cholesterol to people who already have high cholesterol or already have high intakes of dietary cholesterol doesn't show a big effect.

Even at the same blood cholesterol level though, cholesterol feeding increases the rate of oxidation of LDL particles in your bloodstream, making it more atherogenic even without raising your cholesterol

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10704618/

Eggs also impair artery function as much as a sausage and cheese sandwich

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20598142

Dietary cholesterol is also inflammatory

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15939816/

So eating eggs doesn't seem very healthy, right?
