I've been running Cube method off of the online calculator, and modulating the accessory work intensity/volume based on how awesome/garbage I feel on a given day. if you feel embarrassed and a failure - you'll have those feelings for a long time every time you think of doing another meet and will probably dissuade you. conversly if you hit all lifts, you have a feeling of success and probably a feeling like you could've done more on the platform, encouraging you to keep going.

sure you can say "oh dont feel shitty if you fail" - but thats not how feelings work, and unless you go with a large support group and have a strong self-worth outside of lifting, chances are you'll feel shitty.
