Prision workout routine. Worth it?

Hi /fit/, skinny /mu/tant here.
Woke up this morning decided to at least try and build some muscle. The thing is that I know I won't be going to the gym, I tryed once but social anxiety won and I lasted less than a week.
Went through the sticky and catalog and found nothing about excercising outside the gym (besides cardio).
Google pointed me to this "guide" http://www.artofmanliness.com/2015/08/05/the-prisoner-workout/ . Do you think that adjusting these excercises according to what the sticky states might work or is it a waste of time? I don't have a pull-up bar but will get one if you guys approve of this.

I have a pretty healthy diet so that part should be easy, would just need to monitor calorie intake as the sticky has thought me.
I also ride my bike everywhere and with some minor adjustments on the way I do so I think I would have the cardio part covered.

You can build a using bodyweight, look up book overcoming gravity. I used it for a while cause I had social anxiety too. But I just tried to get over it and start going to the gym; I highy recommend you do the same because progress is easier to track with weigh plates and higher level body exercises are very difficult and will eventually require some equipment (e.g. rings, dip bars etc ). Imo you will see better hypertrophy from the weights at the gym. Get a few sessions with a trainer and stick to it. Your Confidence will increase and eventually you will realise no one gives a fuck about you in the gym, they are there to work out not look at you.

Most of fit are basement dwelling meets who are afraid of sunlight and will tell you to go to a gym, ignore them. There's plenty to do outside to workout, cavemen didn't have fucking gyms, they went outside and did what humans are meant to so-called be active. Op I'd suggest taking up maybe a team spot like soccer in a local meetup type.deal. you can socialize and get in shape, and meet new friends possibly. Or if you're not into teams, swimming is good full body workout

You're not that important OP, no one at the gym will give even the slightest shit about you, just go with your routine ready on your phone, listen to music, and get it over with, you'll feel much better afterwards. Just focus on your workout, everyone else will be doing the same, no one will think about you for more than 5 seconds, I promise you. Forget about the gains, you need to go to the gym because you can't keep fucking living like that, scared of going to a public place jesus christ. What are you so scared of? Honestly.

I am doing calisthenics for 6 months now, and despite what people say. Ive made great gains with it.

I do it pure barstarzz style tho, pullups, dips, pushups, squats, alot, in heavy variations, every single time. So you could do that, it will give you results if you sleep and eat properly too

That being said tho, even if you get shredded as fuck, you will still not get over your anxiety, nor will you be able to get chicks if you dont get over your anxiety. So in this case I would say, please go to the gym, u cant let fears rule your life, mental gains are as important as physical ones, never forget that

consistency is the most important thing, you can make gains with anything unless you're not doing it hard enough or not eating enough. as building muscle is your goal calisthetics is a bad way to do it. i can't think of any reason stopping a normal person from buying a set of dumbbells, so do that

It's not a matter of fear and I'm not totally crippled either. I do go outside, talk to girls, have friends, work, etc. But as a 3rd world fag in a tiny city, gyms are small, non 24-hours and full of people I don't really want to deal with. Most gyms around have 1 or 2 machines of every type and you always have to wait for them to be available. That's why I stopped going after a week last time I tryed. I know I won't have the determination to go there consistently if I don't enjoy the experience, however, doing so at home or in the park seems a lot more possible.
